The standard represents a holistic formulation of hygiene requirements taking into account constructional, technical and organisational influences with regard to the planning, manufacture, execution, operation and maintenance as well as cleaning of ventilation and air-conditioning systems in vehicles. These requirements primarily serve to protect the health and safety of persons and to protect the environment. The requirements for product development, construction, operation and maintenance are formulated, and measures are shown to ensure a hygienically flawless condition according to the state of the art when operated as intended. The standard is addressed to workshops, end customers, vehicle manufacturers, filter manufacturers, occupational physicians.
