The standard VDI 6022 Part 1 enables a holistic hygiene assessment of the ventilation and air-conditioning system in its installation and operating situation. For this purpose, among other things, requirements are placed on units and components. This Part 1.1 of the series of standards specifies and supplements the requirements of VDI 6022 Part 1 concerning decentralised air handling units and devices. Information is given on planning, construction, operation, and testing. This standard applies to decentralised ventilation and air-conditioning systems/units, with fresh air connection and, if applicable, secondary air component as well as without fresh air connection with secondary air. The contents of this standard are to be transferred to the standard VDI 6022 Part 1 by means of editorial revision without enquiry procedure with direct publication from white print to white print after publication of this draft including a possible necessary enquiry procedure in the case of existing enquiries.
