Knowledge of climate indicators is becoming increasingly important, particularly against the current context of global climate change and its regional characteristics. Climate indicators include measures of descriptive statistics, parameters of time series analyses as well as climatic knowledge, characteristic values, and index values. The standard describes the calculation of climate indicators and provides approaches for their interpretation for selected applications.
