The standard deals with the methods for the determination of the site climate or climate in small-scale areas with high spatial differentiation by means of moving measuring instrument carriers. The consideration of local climatic conditions and the prognosis of the local climate changes possibly to be expected due to planning or interventions is a requirement of environmental and public welfare. It is regulated in most specialized planning by laws, ordinances and administrative regulations. The standard contains the basic principles for collecting, evaluating and presenting local climatic data in a methodologically sound manner and in a manner suitable for planning with the aid of mobile measuring systems. The standard is addressed to cities, municipalities, (urban) planners, (environmental) engineering offices, authorities, measurement engineers.
