The guideline describes methods to determine the sulphur emission ratio of Claus units and downstream waste gas purification plants. The sulphur emission ratio is the ratio of the emitted mass of sulphur in the waste gas (sulphur-containing compounds including elemental sulphur) and the mass of sulphur charged with the starting gas.
