The guideline presents 35 methods and the corresponding tools for lean production system (LPS) application in practice. These methods have been clustered according to the eight LPS principles, described VDI 2870 Part 1. This facilitates the systematic application of the methods.All methods are described in a standard method sheet. Besides a brief description, some general rules for the method's application are given. The method description is concluded with a presentation of typical and potential risks, and practical examples.
