Value analysis is normally associated with the reduction of product manufacturing costs. But because of its neutrality of application, this method is suitable for much more. The standard shows how value analysis can be used to enhance efficiency - and thus reduce costs - in processes. When applying value analysis in process design, often other tools are used compared to tools used to increase the value of a product. The standard is a practical guide which describes the differences of analysing processes and products. In addition it describes the tools that can be used supporting the daily work.
