- Abstract
-
The standard sets convention values for emission factors for selected microorganisms (staphylococci and enterococci) from stables, equiped with forced ventilation, for the keeping or breeding of pigs. The emission factors are defined as averages across animal places and per year. Essential data is based on current studies on the basis of measurements, standardized test procedures for systems of state-of-the-art animal husbandries, and good practice. Emission factors are necessary in order to assess ambient concentrations of bioaerosols using propagation bills, for example, with the approval of livestock systems, in complaint cases or in land use planning.
