This standard specifies performance criteria and test procedures for checking compliance with these performance criteria on portable devices for measuring gaseous emissions and flue gas parameters at small firing installations. It applies to all performance tests of measuring devices for the measurement of gaseous emissions and flue gas parameters, which are intended for use at small firing installations. Small firing installations include firing installations according to 1. BImSchV or firing installations not subject to approval according to Art. 31 Para. 9 of 44. BImSchV or firing installations according to the German Chimney Sweeping and Inspection Regulation (KÜO). This standard is aimed at manufactures of measuring devices for monitoring emissions at small firing installations, at test institutes performing performance tests of such measuring devices, and at the authorities responsible for the recognition of suitability. Furthermore, it assists users of performance-tested measuring devices for monitoring emissions at small firing installations in the operation of these devices. Bodies for periodic testing of performance-tested measuring devices can use this standard as an additional source of information.
