- Abstract

The acceptance of woodworking machines often causes problems in practice. An essential aspect here is the determination of the delivery item in the specification phase and the subsequent inspection during machine acceptance. In particular, the attributive quality features of the workpieces, which are quantitatively hardly tangible but can nevertheless be reliably generated by the machine, such as aesthetics and appearance, are difficult to handle. The standard provides recommendations for all phases of the procurement of a woodworking machine on how best to proceed. It focuses on the process and practicably scalable implementation recommendations. Examples of concrete machine acceptances are explained in the Annex. The standard is addressed to all those who are involved in daily practice with machine acceptance or other performance records of machinery. These are in particular project and sales engineers, application specialists or product managers at manufacturers of woodworking machines, quality assurance employees, test engineers or experts or appraisers.
