Abstract

The standard supplements VDI 2263 Part 10 with various examples. VDI 2263 Part 10.1 applies to explosion protection measures for mixers in which combustible dust/air mixtures, gas/air mixtures, vapour/air mixtures or hybrid mixtures occur or that may be formed during specified nominal use. This standard provides guidance to operators on how to carry out hazard assessments and determine protective measures. It may also be used by manufacturers when preparing the risk assessment.
